I am a grandmother, mother, wife and United Church Minister.
Working with people, especially teens has brought me joy to my life.
For nineteen years I served God, in called ministry.
My first fourteen years were with the Bethany and Pontypool United Church congregations, the last five years were with the Dunsford United Church congregation.
I loved the work. It was a privilege to spend my working life preaching, teaching and loving people. Pastoral ministry was my passion.
Three years ago, God called me to a ministry of writing. This new challenge is amazing.
I believe that stories are a wonderful way to learn. In order to add variety and relevance to my Sunday morning message, I started creating stories based on scripture passages. My congregations loved them.
- “ You were telling my story this morning.”
- “ I'm a middle child, just like the boy in your story today.”
- “ The Bible comes alive in your stories.”
- “ Your story touched my heart this morning. Thank you.”
There were so many comments, such enthusiasm. Many people suggested that I gather my stories into a book. “ Others should have an opportunity to hear them,” was the consensus.
